When the Surprise Community and Resource Center opens up this summer in the Original Town Site, it will have communications technology ready to go thanks to a grant from Cox Communications.
Darren Moffat, director of government affairs for Cox, presented the Surprise City Council with a $25,000 check on Jan. 6 to create one of its technology centers.
Surprise Human Services and Community Vitality Department Seth Dyson said the city will be able to purchase a mobile technology cart with laptops to use in all of its multigenerational programming at the new center.
