President Lee Jae Myung has invited the leaders and floor leaders of the nation’s key seven political parties for a luncheon on Friday.
According to presidential secretary for political affairs Kim Byung-wook on Monday, the luncheon will see the exchange of views on the direction of state affairs in the new year and discussion on bipartisan cooperation to achieve economic recovery.
He said that Lee is expected to ask for support in making changes this year that can be felt by the people and laying the foundation for the nation to leap forward.
Kim said there will be no limits on the topic of discussion.
He said the main opposition People Power Party hasn’t given a response yet on whether its leadership will attend the luncheon.
But all of the other chairs and floor leaders will attend, except for Reform Party chair Lee Jun-seok who has overseas duties.
