Ajax has taken a concrete interest in young Albanian talent Dominik Thaqi, a Rijeka footballer, putting him on the radar for the future.

The news was confirmed by the player’s agent, Matej Skegro, who announced that the Amsterdam club has been asking about Thaqi’s situation since Tuesday.

Thaqi belongs to the 2007–2008 generation and is not yet a regular starter, but is seen as a very promising project for many clubs. Previously, Liverpool has also closely monitored him through scouts.

For this very reason, several European clubs – including Ajax – are trying to secure him early, before his market value increases significantly.

Ajax is known for its philosophy of investing in young talents and their long-term development, while Thaqi’s profile fits this strategy. The current interest is considered mainly an observation and information phase, but it is not excluded that in the coming months it will be materialized with more serious steps.

A few months ago, Thaqi was contacted by the FFK to play for Kosovo, but he has not yet responded.Currently, he plays for Croatia U19. /Telegraph/
