The health fair will feature more than 40 vendors, representing a wide range of local businesses, health care providers and nonprofit organizations that serve seniors and the Greater Houston community.
Vendors include local pharmacists and pharmacies, physicians, Realtors, medical supply companies, home health providers and community organizations such as Alexander Jewish Family Service, Amazing Place, Memorial Hermann Hospital, Office of Emergency Management, Alzheimer’s Association, Legacy Community Health, H-E-B, Sam’s Club, Houston METRO and others.
As part of Seven Acres’ commitment to proactive senior wellness, Select Rehabilitation (Seven Acres’ in-house therapy provider), will offer free balance assessments throughout the event. These assessments are designed to help identify fall risks, improve mobility and support independence – all an essential component of healthy aging.
In addition to educational resources and screenings, attendees can enjoy free giveaways and swag items, along with numerous chances to win prizes. Each participating vendor will contribute a door prize valued at $50, creating dozens of opportunities for attendees to win throughout the day.
Hosting the blood drive, the American Red Cross will encourage community members to donate during National Blood Donor Month, when blood supplies are often critically low. A single blood donation can help save up to three lives.
“This event reflects our mission to support the health, safety and well-being of older adults and the community,” said Loren Gordon, marketing director at Seven Acres. “By bringing together trusted partners, free wellness assessments and opportunities to give back, we are making it easier for people to take meaningful steps toward better health.”
The Community Health Fair and Blood Drive reinforces Seven Acres’ role as a hub for senior care, education and community engagement.
