The Old Town Temecula Community Theater brought back the sound of Motown this past weekend with Supreme Legacy – A Tribute to The Supremes.

First-time guest Gloria Cash said the concert was worth the drive.

“As a resident of Yucaipa, I usually don’t drive further than Morongo or Redlands to see a concert,” Cash said. “The drive was an hour away, but the concert was well worth it! Diana Ross and the Supremes are my favorite. This tribute band was pretty good. (I am) so glad they played ‘Stop, In the Name of Love,’ my favorite song, ever!”

The Supreme Legacy tribute featured a costume change and lots of audience participation. Several times throughout the show, the singers walked down to join the audience, engaging in crowd participation. A guest singer was welcomed on stage, to the crowd’s approval.

The six-piece band rocked the audience with classics by Aretha Franklin, Ike and Tina Turner and other Motown icons.

For those seeking an intimate and up-close theater experience, the Old Town Temecula Community Theater is the ideal destination. The comfortable seats provide ample room between rows for those who choose to stand up and dance.
