26-year-old Moroccan central defender Boushaib Arrassi has become a player of Ararat-Armenia. The footballer joined the Yerevan-based club on loan until the end of the current season from Moroccan side Raja Casablanca, as we previously reported. The club has now officially confirmed the transfer.

Arrassi has experience playing for Morocco’s national team composed exclusively of players from the domestic league. He made five appearances for the team and won the African Nations Championship for home-based national teams. He has not previously been called up to the senior national team of Morocco.

According to Transfermarkt, the player’s market value is estimated at €325,000.

The transfer of Boushaib Arrassi became Ararat-Armenia’s first signing of the winter transfer window. The team, coached by Manuel Tulipa, is confidently leading the Armenian championship after the first half of the season. Earlier, attacking midfielder Jonathan Duarte left the club.
