The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the credentials of the new Ambassador of Estonia to Kosovo, Karin Anna Maandi.

On this occasion, Osmani welcomed Ambassador Maandi and congratulated her on her appointment, expressing his belief that her mandate will contribute to the further strengthening of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Estonia.

The President expressed gratitude for Estonia’s continued, principled and vocal support for Kosovo’s independence, sovereignty and strengthening of its international position, emphasizing that Kosovo remains aligned with European Union policies.

During the meeting, Osmani and Ambassador Maandi discussed deepening cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of defense, digitalization, electronic public services, cybersecurity, Euro-Atlantic integration, and other areas of common interest.

In terms of regional security and stability, President Osmani reaffirmed Kosovo’s commitment to peace, security and stability in the Western Balkans, thanking Estonia for its contribution to European security.

She also thanked Estonia for its continued advocacy of Kosovo’s European aspirations, in particular for its support for the country’s candidate status for the European Union and membership in the Council of Europe. /Telegraph/
