AUSTIN, Texas — ThunderCloud Subs’ annual Turkey Trot raised over $600,000 for Caritas of Austin this year, breaking the record of money raised for the non-profit by the yearly Thanksgiving race.
The sandwich chain presented a $615,000 check to Caritas on Thursday. ThunderCloud says that it has raised more than $6 million for the charity over 35 years.

Caritas of Austin works to “prevent and end homelessness” for people living in the greater Austin area. Thursday’s donation from ThunderCloud will help fund a new housing development set to open later this year.
