With a second, convincing victory over Kosovo 3:0 (25:9, 25:22, 25:17), the Montenegrin women’s U18 national team concluded the competition in Group “A” of the zonal qualifications for the 2026 European Championship.
In this way, our young team secured a place in the ongoing fight for a place in the championship in Latvia and Lithuania, after eliminating the Kosovo team, and also helped Bulgaria triumph over Greece.
Our girls showed that they would be convincing in the first set, which they won 25:9. Coach Milošević rotated, all players contributed to the victory, which was certain after an excellent end to the second set in which they raised the level of play and used the second set point.
There was no uncertainty in the third set, Montenegro was in the lead the entire time and concluded the match on Staša Jovović’s serve with a 5:0 series.
Klara Đukić and Đina Lekić were the scoring leaders with nine points each, Sofija Duletić and Elena Čolaković each won six points, and Lina Milivojević, Anastasija Koprivica and Bojana Krasnići each won five points.
Buna Žubi was the most efficient player in Kosovo with seven points.
