Imperial servility, all for a cause we all already moved on from in the news cycle. Looks like the regime might have a new lease on life.

What desperation and delusion! I know he can be flattered to influence his decisions, but if she thinks this will make Trump install her as the leader of Venezuela she is mistaken. The remnants of the Maduro government have already cut a deal with Trump that will make him a lot of money. Her idolatry of him and her flattery will be received and no favors will be reciprocated.
She debased and made a fool of herself for absolutely nothing and heaped flattery on a malignant narcissist. More flattery is the last thing he needs. What he needs is a hard reality check, not obsequious fealty.

What a pathetic, embarrassing display.

Machado made the only move she could possibly make, so I can’t fault her for that. Let’s hope this will pan out happily for her.
In contrast, Le Duc Tho turned down Nobel Peace Prize when he knew he had to share with Kissinger. Still the only person to do so. Real men like him don’t give a damn about some shiny medal to brag on social media.

the funniest thing in an absolute tregi-comic way is that he accepted it as if he’s earned it…

So now we know how credible this “Nobel Peace Prize” is. It’s always been political and not about “peace”.

A country’s fight for freedom is worth far more than a gold medal.
But folks who’ve lived comfortably in democracy all their lives would never understand that.

Wow, those Venezuelan aristocrats are really desperate.
How much farther can they fall?
