According to Aeronews, this winter the airline is offering 135 direct flights per week from Porto to various international destinations, including 13 weekly flights to four intercontinental destinations: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, New York, and Luanda. Starting on 1 July, there will be new routes to Terceira and Praia, Cape Verde, with three weekly flights.

Additionally, starting next winter, the Porto-Boston route will operate year-round, and Porto Will also have direct flights to Tel Aviv four times a week.

This announcement is part of the airline’s three-year strategic plan, which includes New intercontinental routes yet to be announced.

TAP Air Portugal is also looking forward to invest i the construction of a new maintenance and engineering centre at Porto Airport, with capacity for two A321 aircraft or similar. Set to be completed in 2028, this project is a key step in TAP’s regional growth strategy, enabling it to conduct major fleet inspections in-house, reduce operating costs, and create around 200 highly specialised jobs.
