  1. It went from “Just Do It” to “Just Did It”.

I’m happy he’s happy for us. We’re finally allowed to negotiate on our own. Thanks Papi Trump!

I don’t think this really means anything. He could easily release a Truth Social post tonight attacking Carney or Canada. His comments on this stuff generally have a short shelf life.

Also wouldn’t be surprised if he has no clue what was actually agreed to. He’s busy focusing on Minnesota, Venezuela, Iran and Greenland, and his brain is mush.

  3. He’s also trying to get a trade deal with China. A brief moment of consistency in logic until one of his parasites convinces him it’s actually bad.

  4. I’m going to err on the side of he didn’t understand the question because this directly contradicts what his minion, Geer, said an hour before and it directly undercuts his horseshit ‘Donroe’ Doctrine.

Nothing this orange imbecile says matters, his word is absolutely worthless. He may say we “should” do this deal right now and then threaten retaliation against us for doing the deal before the day is out.

It is a waste of time to listen to him at all.

  6. Don’t care what Trump thinks.

We will craft trade deals that in our best interest and that’s really all that matters.

If Trump wants to garner our attention, he can come to us with a reasonable offer, and maybe then we’ll consider giving his country any attention.

Trump said that about Ford’s Reagan ad too and then a few days later he threw a temper tantrum over it. It’s a good sign he’s not threatening to invade us, but let’s see how he feels in a week.

My guess is a reporter just sprung this news on him and he tends to be more neutral in his statements when that happens. Wait until he stews on it a bit and launches a Truth Social post at 3am.

He said this before Steve Miller puts a bug in his ear. Wait for some explosive response in a day or two. I think Canada should delay trade talks with the US. Their word means absolutely nothing. They couldn’t even honour the existing trade deal. What makes anyone think they’ll honour a new one?

I enjoy weekends when he goes away and plays golf at his resort, although sometimes it results in more tweeting and bombing of countries.

  11. Saw the same tone from Trump regarding the tariff add. He will meet with his team of stooges and completely change tone and start to threatening Canada again.

I don’t expect him to be consistent but this is hilarious considering how aggressive the CPC MPs have been about this China deal ruining our relationship with the US.

  13. This doesn’t impact his America First strategy. He wants to bring back manufacturing to the US (at the expense of Canada). I think he probably genuinely doesn’t care what Canada does to survive.

  14. I wouldn’t put any weight into what he says.

Maybe it means something, maybe it doesn’t.

He just repeats the last thing he heard.

So I guess someone in the White House told him that.

  15. The guy changes his mind as often as he changes his diaper. His opinion should be irrelevant regarding Canadian dealings.

  16. If your biggest ally and trade partner doesn’t want to fair trade with you, why the hell not lol?

Also as if this is shocking, lots of things are imported from china currently

  17. Well now I feel so much better about our deal. It’s got to be better than that CUSMA deal that Biden signed if Mr Trump approves

  18. What’s with this yes/no/maybe/tariffs/Canada is irrelevant/we don’t need Canada….bs….hammer is going to come down again.
