I’m a bit disappointed by the lack of concrete aid for my second homeland, Denmark, and Greenland 🇬🇱🇵🇱🇩🇰 from the RP, we’re also white and red. I fear that because of the prezydent’s of Poland blind love for Trump, there’s a risk that we might one day find ourselves on opposite sides of the (I’ll put that in quotation marks) "barricade," because it’s unthinkable.
Update:
I just read that the Polish Ambassador to Denmark has been sent to Greenland for reconnaissance. Something is better than nothing.

unfortunately many poles have the disease where they think they should give up morality for the sake of “owning the left”. the nationalistic nonsense that was necessary during the many occupations and ethnic cleansings and genocides to preserve our culture and people still needs to be unlearned.
First of all we did not send any troops becouse we need all of them in case of you know… Second big bad that is thretening Europe right now.
Second if those pricks in politic decide to support USA agains Denmark and Greenland I’m fucking joining Denmark. Hope you will take me. 💪🏻

Im danish but I’m happy with Polish response so far.
They were one of 6 EU countries to sign a statement to support Greenland/Denmark.
Poland is fighting bigger forces to the East, and this is still by far the biggest threat and correctly where their focus should be.
You’ll unfortunately never get any official aid unless there is a full on attack on NATO from the US. And even then Poland will be one of the last countries to respond probably. At this point both parties: “left wing” and “right wing” are way to keen to believe in promisses of US security.
We have these promises ingrained since the 1980’s and until very recently they were untested. It will take more than one or even two election cycles for the politics in Poland to catch up to the reality that the help we relied on will become completely hostile to our state interests.
Another thing that will stop most of that is Polish people’s twisted sense of national independence. One that pretends it can become independent from anyone and everything since the status as the bridge between the west and east made us into a type of regional empire.
There are many Poles who until the very last moment will believe that the current Polish order is “self build” and not an slow buildup of international treaties and policies that we relied on for safety and stability. And that we can disjoin from the EU without being swallowed by Russia.
TL;DR We Poles are cowards who when seeing that our state order is tested chose to “nie wadzić nikomu”(not get in anyone’s way). There will be no military or official political support given until the very last moment because of our belief that the relationship with the US can be turned around eventually. And many of us (sadly) would give up Greenland or even Denmark itself for a chance to not strain our defense institutions and keep them the same.
I have this feeling that (as usual) Trump will get what he wants without coming close to fulfilling any of his threats. It goes like:
USofA: I’ll slap you with 1000% tarrifs !!!
Other country: Please no, give us just 100% tarrifs.
USofA: Deal! You get only 100% tariffs. Today is your lucky day!
Other coutnry: Thank you so much. You are great country, We owe you gratitude for your mercy !!!
This might get a very surprising turn – Russia + EU vs US – imagine this. Putin is already positioning himself as a „Sane” protector against „insane” Trump. Same time Putin and Trump are plying together for destruction of Eu. US gets Greenland and Russia gets Europe. Poland must be very very careful here.

Listen, I am pro-american but also do not like this situation, I want it to be clear. I see some positives:
1. Maybe it will push other NATO members to finally start militarizing. We will be all a lot safer then.
2. I had for some time a smoking suspicion that the EU was preparing an assault on Russia (it’s a failed state at this point that couldn’t even manage to win in Ukraine. I think that, considering only land forces, Poland could take them 1 v 1 on. However, there are always nukes. In the meantime the EU was actively calling Russia a serious threat. This seems like a plan to make populus accept the war and blame it on Russia) and this situation completely destroys this plan if it was really considered.
But still, allies fighting among themselves is not good. However, living in Poland, and Poland having practically one of the biggest and most modern armies in the EU, what is most beneficial in that conflict? Siding with the demilitarised Europe? Or with the largest army on Earth, with the best anti-rocket technology and most nukes? Because Wars are not won with hard words, y’know, but with armies.
Polish politics are either fellating america since 1989 (pis) or afraid of giving fuel to russian propagandists (ko).
Im dissapointed too. But poland is a vassal of america. And politicians are afraid of anything. I fully support my europeans sisters and brothers from Greenland and Denmark.
Do you really think sending 13 soldiers like Germany or France helps to defend over 2 million square kilometers of Greenland?
BTW – If there would be a real threat in Greenland all the European big mouth heroes would send NO ONE and be silent just like in the case of Russia. While now they can be displaying world powers without any real cost and to use politically their anti-American resentments in the society they have since WW2 to increase government’s support.
Greenland is just a Denmarks colony where a lot of atrocities and genocide were committed in 20th century by the overlord. I say let Indigenous people vote for either current overlord, independence or US.
