  1. Clearly never watched any original Star Trek. First scripted interracial kiss on television would have exploded his stupid fascist head.

Star Trek was woke in 60s. Also, Stephen Miller clearly doesn’t know that Shatner is Canadian.

  3. Star Trek was literally Woke long before Woke was a thing. It would be funny if it wasn’t so serious.

  4. the only capitalism in star trek is evil, almost everyone has moved beyond economic servitude.

Thank you Stephen Miller for a show recommendation that I will now watch. And blaming William Shatner, who has his own issues to deal with, is low class. Wow.

Stephen Miller asking William Shatner to save Star Trek is peak ‘I don’t get pop culture but I have opinions anyway’.

How do you say you’ve never watched a single episode of any Star Trek series, without saying you never actually watched a single episode of any Star Trek series?

Miller watched ‘Let That Be Your Last Battlefield,’ arguably the most heavy-handed commentary on racism in any show ever, not just ST, and Didn’t. Fucking. Get. It.

  9. Star Trek, like The Twilight Zone, were intentionally designed to explore wokeness before it was even a word.

  10. The original Star Trek was the definition of “wokeness” in 1966. The movies, TNG and the other sequels have continued the tradition.

In fact, I’m sure people have studied it/done papers on the fascinating mix of the show. A good dash of US manifest destiny, masculinity (count how many episodes Kirk lost his shirt), controversial social themes, socialism (no war, no money, etc), the UN in space, and other themes.

Now, I’m getting ready to go down the rabbit hole…

Sure we get an Trump approved “American star trek” soon:

After the US “unified” the whole earth under its flag, the warship USS Enterprise is on its mission to seek out oil on planets, where no american have been before.

The crew are only white christian cis hetero men, one attractive white women is there for no real purpose besides that the viewer can wank off over her. They wear black leather uniform, who somehow look similar to the Nazi SS uniforms.

Whenever they encounter aliens, the crew of the uss enterprise will try to convert them to Christianity and Anarcho capitalism. If the skin color is too dark, the USS Enterprise will bomb the planet with photon torpedos, and celebrate the victory of white supremacy afterwards.

  12. You know Miller has all types of opinions about Star Wars and I bet money he didn’t get Andor at all.

Star Trek was always very woke. MAGA has been telling on themselves for a decade that their comprehension score of stories/art/songs is a perfect 0.

  14. Star Trek is set in a literal communist utopia where mankind has set aside its petty differences and established a radically egalitarian society where everyone is free to pursue their passions without fear of want or coercion, and where Earth is central in establishing an interstellar multi-species Federation founded on the principles of mutual respect, cooperation, and collective cultural and scientific progress. If you’re a MAGA Star Trek fan you either have to be *really* good at compartmentalizing or you barely pay attention to what anyone is actually saying in any given episode.

  15. How much of a clueless dipshit do you have to be to not realize Star Trek was always the wokest thing ever. The multi-racial crew of a scientific deep space exploration mission on behalf of a communist utopia?

  16. Star Trek has always been, and will always be woke, idealistic, intelligent, scientific, etc.  all the things Miller isn’t.  The show for his kind is the Dukes of Hazard.

  17. Gene Roddenberry that created Star Trek was a real one

He fought tooth and nail the networks who wanted to water down his vision because it would upset people

His vision for the future was one of hope, in that humanity becomes a force for good in the universe

    Get fucked Miller

What more proof do we need that “woke” just means “things I don’t like” to these people?

  19. Kentucky_Fried_Chill on

Yes because one of the first major sci-fi shows in history almost always staring a multicultural background cast, men in skirts, and showed the first interracial kiss, was never woke.

  20. Of all the sci fi franchises

Star Trek is. The most. Woke.

If you are a Republican or conservative in any way and think that Star Trek is for you. You are so media illiterate that I’d be shocked you would be able to even handle an episode of cocomelon
