January 19 – The Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) has begun the reconstruction of the Myslim Koçi Stadium in Gramsh, marking the latest milestone in its long-term strategy to modernise football infrastructure across the country. In partnership with the Municipality of Gramsh, the project aims to provide professional-grade facilities for local teams and the city’s 250 youth players.
Focussed on bringing the stadium up to contemporary international standards, key improvements include the construction of a modern grandstand with 1,500 seats, new changing rooms, referee facilities, anti-doping rooms, and medical offices, plus the installation of an artificial turf pitch suitable for both matches and training.
The stadium is designed to meet requirements for national championships and Level 2 international matches.
This investment is part of a broader push by the FSHF to ensure that football infrastructure is not limited to major urban hubs like Tirana or Durrës.
During his inspection of the site, FSHF President Armand Duka emphasised the social and developmental impact of the project.
“Football is not only played in Tirana, Durrës, or the major urban centers; it must be played in every corner of Albania. It is a pleasure to see 250 children playing football in the Gramsh area and a high-quality women’s team. I am confident that this new stadium and the additional training field will serve both the girls’ and boys’ teams in moving even further forward.”
The reconstruction is expected to be completed in time for the 2026/27 season start in September.
