Bern-based brandishers of fuzz-ripping licks and impeccably sharp fits, The Jackets are turning their attention to Aotearoa New Zealand, jetting down under for an extensive nationwide tour this March. Sparked in Switzerland during the mid’00s, the trio of Jackie Brutsche (aka Jack Torera), Chris Rosales and Samuel Schmidiger‘s pedigree in real deal garage-punk stretches even further back — Rosales’ past projects include Voodoo Rhythm groups The Super Supers, The Get Lost, and a stint in The Reverend Beat-Man’s early band.

With five studio albums to their name so far, The Jackets have toured their famously red hot live show to stages around the globe and finally NZ gets a turn. Grab a copy of their upcoming new LP Essentials and get rowdy when they hit our shores at the tail end of summer — brought to you by Clean Dirt
