The Romanian Brewers Association has appointed Boris Miloushev, General Manager of HEINEKEN Romania, as President of the organization, starting January 2026. He succeeds Mihai Voicu, General Manager of Bergenbier S.A., who held the presidency throughout 2025.
Boris Miloushev brings more than 27 years of experience within the HEINEKEN Group and joined HEINEKEN Romania in the summer of 2025. His international leadership background includes senior roles across multiple markets, most recently as Managing Director of Heineken/SCC Portugal.
The Romanian Brewers Association represents the country’s leading beer producers and marked 20 years of activity in 2025. Romania currently ranks among the top 10 beer-producing countries in Europe, with over 97% of beer consumed locally produced domestically. The beer industry contributes approximately EUR 3 billion to Romania’s GDP, positioning it as an important pillar of the national economy.
Although market growth in 2025 remained below its full potential due to tax changes that slowed investment plans across the sector, industry representatives point to continued growth prospects, provided that fiscal policies become more stable and predictable.
Members of the Romanian Brewers Association include Ursus Breweries, Bergenbier S.A., HEINEKEN Romania, United Romanian Breweries Bereprod, as well as craft brewers such as Zăganu, Clinica de Bere, Berăria Artizanală Sibiu, and Scorilo, alongside Soufflet Malt Romania and the Romanian Hops Producers Association.
