  2. Not as simple as the headline makes it out to be. If the orders are simply “you’re being stationed at Pituffiq Space Base”, soldiers have no more standing to disobey than if the orders were to be stationed at Fort Bragg.

    It’s what they could be ordered to do once they’re there that could present legal challenges. And something tells me they’re not gonna have great cell reception at Pituffik to get a military lawyer on the horn

  4. It’s not a bombshell. It’s part of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Every soldier is given a copy and told they must refuse illegal orders.
