Kylian Mbappé loves playing against his former club, that much is clear.

The Real Madrid superstar netted a first-half brace for a 2-0 lead over Monaco during Tuesday’s Matchday 7 action of the Champions League. Mbappé now has 13 goals and 17 assists in 15 matches against the club where he began his professional career. He also has 11 so far in this competition through six games.

Arsenal are in position to improve to 7-0-0 with a 2-1 halftime lead over Inter Milan at the San Siro. Gabriel Jesus scored twice for the Gunners, his first Champions League goals in over two years.

It’s been a good opening 45 minutes for English sides as Tottenham is also up at the half with a 2-0 lead over Borussia Dortmund. Cristian Romero and Dominic Solanke scored 23 minutes apart against the visitors who are down to 10 men following a Daniel Svensson red card in the 26th minute.

Elsewhere around the grounds, Villarreal-Ajax and Sporting-PSG are goalless at the half; Scott McTominay has Napoli up 1-0 over 10-man Copenhagen; and goals from Costinha and Mehdi Taremi gave Olympiacos a 2-0 on lead over Bayer Leverkusen.

In earlier matches, Kasper Waarst Høgh scored a first-half brace within two minutes as Bodø/Glimt shocked Manchester City 3-1. Jens Hauge made it 3-0 in the 58th minute and things got even worse for City as Rodri picked up a pair of yellow cards minutes later, sending the visitors down to 10 men for the rest of the match.

According to Opta, the 53 seconds between Rodri’s yellow cards were the fewest for a sending off for an English team in the Champions League since Wayne Rooney for Manchester United in 2005 (4 seconds).

Kairat Almaty became the first team eliminated from round of 16 contention following a 4-1 loss to Club Brugge.
