    As reported by NOS

The Royal Netherlands Air Force will conduct training with F-35 fighters over Schiphol Airport next week. According to preliminary information, the events will take place on January 27 and 28 and will involve four F-35 fighters and a tanker aircraft that will arrive and depart at different times.

“If you hear the sound of fighter jets over Schiphol Airport next week, you should not panic or immediately think of a military invasion by another country. As Schiphol has announced, the Royal Netherlands Air Force will conduct its first exercises from the national airport”

    – NOS, reported by Ukrinform

The aim of the training is to test the ability to safely and effectively use a civilian airport for military purposes. Such measures are intended to confirm the interaction between civilian infrastructure and combat aviation assets during joint operations.

The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that such training increases defense flexibility and reduces dependence on fixed bases, strengthening the country’s defense capabilities.

The airport administration noted that residents of nearby areas may hear significant noise during flights. Regular flights will operate on the usual schedule, and after the training is completed, military aircraft will return to their usual training areas.

Also in the context of international cooperation, the possibility of increasing the effectiveness of using F-16 fighters in joint programs between Ukraine and the Netherlands was mentioned.

In conclusion, it is worth noting that the training is likely to proceed with little inconvenience for passengers, but the noise may be heard in the vicinity of the airport during the execution of combat maneuvers.
