ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A man is behind bars after police say he tried to rob a Cartersville massage business, hurting a woman in the process.
Jaiden Walraven faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed robbery and kidnapping.
Cartersville police were called to Massage Time Body & Foot on South Gilmer Street on Monday, where they found the victim with injuries. She said Walraven asked for a massage, but once inside the room, pulled out a knife and tried to take things.
After a “brief struggle,” the victim was able to get away, and the suspect ran, according to police. Officers spread information about the suspect to other law enforcement agencies, and the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office arrested him.
Walraven is being held in Bartow County Jail without bond.
