During the Annual Session of the Provincial Synod of the Archdiocese of Bucharest on Thursday, Patriarch Daniel of Romania presented the general report on the province’s activities for 2025.

He presented the general report on last year’s activities to the plenary. The report included summaries of administrative, pastoral, economic, property-related, cultural, missionary, educational, and charitable activities.

Charity and Social Support

Last year, the value of social and charitable support provided to church units and individuals in need amounted to approximately 2.2 million euros, in addition to numerous social infrastructure projects.

These projects include the construction of a day care center for children with hearing impairments in Bucharest, services provided at the social dental clinic “Smile for All” in collaboration with the Sector 2 DGASPC, which treated 780 patients last year, and the submission of a program for a new palliative care center in Ploiești.

Committee Discussions and Proposals for the New Year

Subsequently, the detailed reports were discussed in specialized committees, while senior priests met separately to present reports and proposals for activities in the new year.

Ultimately, the members of the Provincial Synod approved the reports on the 2025 activities (including the financial report) and the proposed 2026 budget.
