Senace
Senace is driving modernization and digital transformation to incorporate state-of-the-art technology and thus strengthen environmental certification processes in 2026, for the benefit of a country with a balance between sustainable investments and healthy environments.
In the new year, the entity will promote the use of four new platforms: the first, the “Senace Environmental Assessment Technical Criteria Portal”, with guidelines and regulatory documents used by evaluators. In this way, environmental assessment is standardized and made predictable.
The “Shared Use Portal of Baseline in Investment Projects” contains information on Baselines of certified studies and data from other entities, for the preparation of new instruments. The “Project Classification Simulator” identifies the established category for an investment project and indicates whether it should be evaluated by Senace.
The fourth platform, “Standardization of Environmental Impacts and Measures”, identifies the impacts and their management measures for the Environmental Impact Statement (DIA) of projects in the Transport subsector under Senace’s jurisdiction.
Artificial intelligence
At the same time, the entity is incorporating artificial intelligence as part of its institutional modernization process, aimed at transforming and strengthening environmental assessment through the implementation of an ecosystem of interconnected intelligent applications.
These solutions make it possible to optimize technical analysis, reduce the operational burden associated with repetitive tasks, and strengthen the consistency, traceability, and predictability of the environmental certification process, while always maintaining the oversight and specialized judgment of the evaluators.
Within this framework, platforms such as the Environmental Certification Regulatory Library (BIANCA) have been strengthened through the incorporation of an intelligent chatbot for regulatory and technical criteria inquiries. Together with other analysis systems, it will form part of an integrated digital ecosystem.
