His remarks drew condemnation from across the political spectrum, with critics pointing to the 457 British deaths in Afghanistan. Denmark, which has been at loggerheads with the US over Trump’s designs on Greenland, had 44 combat deaths in Afghanistan, the most per capita outside the US.

The whole world is the tv stage for him
and Trump’s constant need to be in limelight will make him claim anything. The same happened during his first term. It’s will be an irritating(sometimes entertaining) reality tv show for next 3 years.
This doesn’t look like people afraid of the front line

Many Europeans are ashamed of just how much Europe helped USA in all their wars. Why did so many die in Afghanistan? Just to please Bush as that was seen as the biggest job in the world. Please USA no matter what it took. Then please USA in Iraq and support all their other military actions blindly often praising Bush.
At least Trump makes it much harder for him to start a useless war as no one will blindly help him like they helped Bush. I guess Hungary will send support.

Some did, notably the italians. That’s why so many french soldiers died in an ambush in 2011-something.

My absolute rage at the Tangerine wankstain is ever increasing.
I think we are in a waiting game now for trump to implode and some grown-ups to be re elected in tge USA.
As for the UK, I have said for over 20 years, our procurement needed to change towards a more Euro/nato complimentary approach.
Challenger 3 should have been a next generation Leopard project with a requirement for a British production center, same with a AFV instead of the Ajax project. This would allow us to not only increase production and supply stocks, but still retain the ability to make our own upgrade and modification packages for them.
We can not afford to be so stand alone anymore and we sure as hell cannot rely on the USA so much going forward.

Dr. Braunstein rented his office in Jamaica, Queens, from Fred Trump in the 1960s, the Times reported, citing records. His two daughters told the Times that their father provided the diagnosis of bone spurs as a courtesy to the elder Trump.
“I know it was a favor,” Elysa Braunstein told the newspaper, who added that the “small favor” got her father “access” to Fred Trump. “If there was anything wrong in the building, my dad would call and (Fred) Trump would take care of it immediately,” she told The Times.
Elysa Braunstein also told the newspaper that her father implied that Trump did not have a foot ailment.
In 1968, after receiving four deferments due to education, Donald Trump was diagnosed with bone spurs in his heels at the age of 22, seven years before the Vietnam War ended.
