I predict Trump will double down, and say something incoherent in the realms of “NATO is controled by woke snowflakes” or something…

I’m glad that Starmer is saying what the whole world knows. And I’m proud of the inevitable backlash and tantrum that the USA responds with.
600% tariffs incoming. Bring it. I’m happy for America to pay them.

You cannot get an apology from a narcissistÂ
Ok_Barber4987 on
The guy still lies about the election being stolen, lies about the economy, lies about bringing 8 wars to an end, lied about Mexico building our wall, mocked a disabled reporter, had over 30k documented lies his first term  and you think he’ll apologize for just another daily lie he says?  No fn way.Â

Trump won’t apologize. He’ll probably babble some other incoherent bullshit.

Trump apologizing for *ANYTHING*? He’s just so very silly.

He says shitty things about our troops too.
He’s a shitty person.
So are his supporters that he perfectly represents.
Please help us.

Trump should apologise but he will never.
He’s an egoistic fat and ill-manner liar.

Trump will die before saying anything that could be considered an apology. I do not even know if the very concept of apologizing is something his narcissistic brain can grasp.
If this message reach him, He will definitely double down.

If Trump ever apologizes for literally anything ever, I will shit myself on purpose.

Can the UK just step in and take these morons over again? They’ve clearly lost the plot and have no idea how to run a country.

People in the UK have been calling for a stance like that since before the second state visit. It’s long been needed.

Him look like the moron he is. It’s a clear dig

He hasn’t apologized to the kids he raped and killed so good luck with that.

Trump’s comments are/were atrocious. And Starmer is absolutely right to criticise him like he has. I think it’s the strongest he’s ever criticised him!?
But I’ve got a horrible feeling Don isn’t going to like that and kick up some sort of tantrum and do something totally wild to retaliate.

Frankly Starmer should apologise after not taking more responsibility during the Siege of Abarbarjan.
Trump stopped that conflict 3 times ATLEAST!
Also the elections were rigged. /s

Canada also wants an apology for the The **Tarnak Farm incident**. The first Canadians killed in Afghanistan were from an American F16 pilot.

Incoming tweet where he calls stramer dumb or something to that effect, doubles down on afghan and nato troops. Starts talk of tarrifs. Thankyou for your attention to this matter.

In 2008, US General David Petraeus, who was the head of American forces in Afghanistan, awarded medals to several wounded British soldiers, recognizing their bravery and sacrifice in aiding besieged US Marine Corps units. There are many, many more examples of medals and citations being awarded to NATO forces while in direct support of US forces. Many were awarded posthumously. I’m sure many in the US military will be very uncomfortable at Trump’s words.

Starmer actually said he’d apologise if it were him, implying any decent person would but he’s expecting no such thing from Trump.

Cancel the State Visit if he doesn’t apologise. The King is head of the armed forces and I doubt He would take kindly to having to hob nob with someone who has gratuitously debased the ultimate sacrifice of 457 British soldiers, the many more injured, and the dead and injured of many more NATO countries.

I didn’t expect this to piss me off as much as it has. I didn’t think going into Afghanistan was a good idea at the time, and I still don’t think so today. But that is one side of it.
I also remember being out in central Oslo, Norway one day around 2010, when I heard the sound of planes above the city. It was a military plane, accompanied by fighter jets, and it was like everyone just went quiet when we saw it.
Because we knew that plane had come from Afghanistan, and we knew it was carrying fallen soldiers. We had seen the pictures on the news, we had heard their names. And we knew that the flyover across the capital was not just to show them respect, but to show a small country that the sacrifice those soldiers had made was real.
There is verse in a Norwegian WWII poem that goes:
“We are so few in this country,
Every fallen one is a brother and a friend.”
These things have a real impact in a small country like ours. And I think that’s what has made me so angry about what that idiot said. We sent our soldiers to war out of loyalty to a close ally that had been attacked, and now that same ally claims those soldiers didn’t make enough of an effort, while the coffins brought home told a different story. This is an absolute low, and I don’t see how the US will recover from this.
