Kosovo has left a strong mark in Morocco, at the international tournament “Casablanca Cadet African Cup 2026”, confirming once again the great potential of Kosovar judo in the international arena.

Kosovar judoka Jon Kuka, under the guidance of Olympic champion Majlinda Kelmendi, achieved a significant success by winning the bronze medal in this prestigious competition. His performance was convincing and confident, showing continued growth in his competitive level.

In the decisive duel for third place, Kuka triumphed with Ippon over the judoka from Luxembourg, Ugo Marchiori, ending the match in an authoritative manner. The road to the medal was not easy, as in the rematch he also defeated the host judoka El Mehdi Boudarham with IPPON, eliminating a strong rival in front of the Moroccan audience.

In addition to Jon Kuka, Kosovo is also being represented by judoka Arba Hasanaj, who is also competing for the bronze medal and is expected to play her decisive match.
