According to officials in Odesa, the delegation also visited one of the city’s hospitals, where they learned about the provision of medical care and the needs of doctors and patients.
Additionally, during the visit, a roundtable with the leadership of the Odesa City Military Administration was held, during which the bishop of the Romanian Orthodox Church opened the meeting with a prayer for peace in Ukraine.
The discussion focused on potential joint infrastructure projects, the integration of Ukrainian refugees into the Romanian community, and humanitarian aid for those who remained in Ukraine. There were also discussions about energy-efficient solutions and possible partnerships with the cities of Constanța and other Romanian localities, as well as organizing summer recreation for children.
In the context of these events, it was also reported that Italy announced a €100,000 collection for generators and batteries for Ukraine.
Such initiatives indicate a deepening of humanitarian cooperation between Romania and Ukraine and are aimed at strengthening medical support for military personnel in the conflict zone.
