Mad Cave Studios imprint Papercutz will launch a new line of graphic novels featuring science concepts in stories built around Disney and Pixar characters, the company announced. The new Disney Science in Comics line will launch with four titles this summer, each created by a team of scientists working with storytellers to create character-driven adventures with accurate scientific concepts. Art talent appears to be drawn from Disney’s prolific Italian comics studio. 

The four launch titles are:

Disney Science in Comics: Age of the Dinosaurs features Rex, Trixie, and Forky  investigating the origins and end of the dinosaurs. Street date is May 26. 

Disney Science in Comics: Life in the Seas stars Nemo, Marlin, Dory and friends as they investigate the dangers to the oceans, including coral bleaching, plastics, and global warming.  Street date is June 3.

Disney Science in Comics: Cities of Tomorrow features Zootopia characters investigating ways to make the future more sustainable, from farms to the advanced buildings and metropolitan districts. Street date is July 7.

Disney Science in Comics: Galaxies and Planets brings the Big Hero 6 team to fight the villains and forces of space that are threatening San Fransokyo. Street date is August 4).

All the Disney Science in Comics titles will be available in hardcover at $29.99 and paperback at $19.99.
