The decree appointing Mykhailo Brodovych to the position of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia was signed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. In document No. 83/2026, published on the Office of the President’s website, the corresponding formulation is recorded.

Appointment dossier and the diplomat’s career
Mykhailo Brodovych has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs system since the 1990s, and from 2015 to 2022 he held the position of Ukraine’s ambassador to Slovenia.
In March 2022, the President of Ukraine recalled the ambassador Ihor Dolgov from Georgia.
Changes in Georgian diplomacy and subsequent appointments
On June 24, the president made a decision to dismiss the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of Ukraine to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Georgia, the Slovak Republic, the Portuguese Republic, and the Lebanese Republic. Specifically, Ihor Dolgov was dismissed from his post as Ukraine’s ambassador to Georgia.
