President Donald Trump’s immigration policies are driving away top supporters in the wake of two fatal shootings by ICE agents in Minnesota.

The Daily Mail reports that top Fox News host Sean Hannity is pushing back against how ICE agents are going about their jobs.

Speaking on “The Sean Hannity Show” on Premiere Radio Networks, Hannity said that ICE should use different methods to round up undocumented immigrants.

“Now is ICE perfect?” Hannity said. “They’re not. Can they do a better job? They can.”

Hannity continued, “So I think that, you know, some of the optics at times, do I think that going into Home Depots and arresting people there is a good idea? I don’t.”

Hannity, a staunch supporter of Trump, spoke after an ICE agent shot and killed ICU nurse Alex Pretti over the weekend.

It was the second fatal shooting of an ICE protestor in Minneapolis, following the death of Renee Nicole Good.

Hannity said that an immigration “program” that would allow those in this country illegally to “come forward” would “be a more responsible, reasonable way to deal with that problem.”

Said Hannity, “I don’t think that people that– if you’re working at a place, you’re not the immediate problem. Eventually, we’ll have to deal with those people that didn’t respect our laws, borders, and sovereignty.”

Hannity continued, “There’s gotta be a program where people get to come forward. I think they should then be given transportation home. They can get a check for, what, $2,000? And they can apply to come back in the country legally.

He said, “We can vet them. We can do a health check on them and make sure they won’t be a financial burden on the American people. I think that’d be a more responsible, reasonable way to deal with that problem.”
