  1. If i let my dog lead me he will circle the block and cross the road and lead me into the Abbotsford pet-o’s. He loves the hell out of that place.

  2. If you speak with proper diction you’d have no reason to question it at all.

This is your fail, not theirs 🤓

  3. Seems logical after you’ve visited the servo and the bottleo to get something at the pet-o for the doggo.

  4. I don’t normally neg but I negged this post. This is completely on you OP lol.The name is perfectly fine

  5. Apparently they initially wanted it to be Pet Co, but there’s already an American chain with that name. I can only assume they never said their back-up business name out loud in an Aussie accent. I feel sorry for the staff who have to answrr the phones – “good morning, Pedo”…

There was an Afterpay type company that called itself FU Pay a few years ago (not sure if still around, they advertised in Chemist Warehouse from memory). Thought that was one of the funnier business names I’ve come across.

  7. I thouse it was a reference to ‘bottle-o’. Didnt think about the “pedo” pronounciation.

  8. Pet stock had to quickly change the name of half their stores because they were in legal trouble for having too much of a monopoly or too many stores. This was the outcome of rushed decision making.

Now why are the powers that be complaining about pet stock but not Bunnings which is everywhere.

  9. That particular store used to be Best Friends and they always had cool stuff for pretty cheap. Since swapping they’ve gotten rid of the majority of their stock and are super expensive.

Petbarn across the road is cheaper and the people that work at that Petbarn have a lot of knowledge and are willing to take the time to help.

  10. I had assumed it was meant to be a play on Bottle-o and Servo, just a bit of a laugh for the pets.

  11. Ask about their rewards program… PetO Pals.

No matter how many times they ask I will never join a program called PetO Pals… Ever…

    Edit: fixed name

  12. I’m not Aussie but do Aussies pronounce that word the American way? I assumed it would be the British spelling
