    Great news for me.
I have been having beetroot since 7 days in a row .
    Will continue doing so.

  2. Still a little confused by the mechanism of action here, but I had a feeling a vegetable so highly pigmented would have health benefits!

  3. what’s the difference between these nitrates and the ones in deli meat that cause cancer?

  4. The nitrates in beet root juice/powders are really good for heart health and getting a better muscle pump. Works for me anyway, I notice it. Same with certain mushrooms as well. Been known for awhile.

I remember articles about beetroot juice/powder helping recovery in players when Leicester won their Premier League title

  6. Only issue is beetroot contain levels of higenamine above detection limits as a wada prohibited substance. Eating a beetroot is alright. But beetroot powder can be an issue. I did some testing if sups and one failed due to having beetroot powder as a colourant.

So be careful athletes taking beetroot powder.

Also why nitrate in meat is bad is they form nitrosamines while plants have way less and the nitrates are in different forms that much more easier converted to NO.

What about eating beetroots instead of beetroot juice? I would assume it has similar effects?
