Greetings from Korea! I’m 26M Korean (of course Korea Południowa), who wrote this post before.

You guys told me a lot of tips and ahowed great kindness. They were really helpful. Much Appreciated. Dziękuję!

I finally arrived at Polska, after a 12hrs flight from Seoul. Now I’m at the Warszawa Chopin airport, waiting for the flight to Wrocław. It feels amazing to visit Polska, which I’ve dreamt for 3 years.

I am an amateur piano player and have been a huge fan of Chopin in my 20s. 3 years ago I got to know a Pole friend, when he came to my university as an exchange student. We had some great time for a year, and I promised him that someday I’ll visit him. And now I’m here! Can’t wait to meet him.

I will stay in Polska for 2 weeks, in Wrocław / Opole / Kraków / Gdańsk / Warszawa. Intercity trains are ready, thanks to the Koleo app. I was too busy working these days to set some specific plans, but anyways it would be very fun!

I’ve learned some basic Polish phrases and words. Now I remember some words like dom, pokój, kot, rzeczy, samochód, łóżko and others (although I repeatedly forget what ‘bed’ is).

Anyways, I’ll have some great time in Polska! My Korean friends suggested me visiting other countries like Germany, but I’ll show them there’s a lot to enjoy for two weeks in Polska.

I may post some interesting thingy in this channel. If I have a chance I definitely will.

Have a nice day everyone!

I was just like you when I first arrived. Then the polish reality hit. Literally, nobody cares about each other here. Doesn’t mean they are rude. Polish people are the most neutral people I’ve seen in my life. Hopefully your impression will be different. Good luck.

  2. I’m so excited for you OP. I find these sorts of posts very annoying because people come with very basic questions that could have been solved by a little googling. They feel fake in the sense that they say they like Poland but are not willing to put any research effort in their trip and want everything spoon-fed to them. So in a sea of travelers like this, your serious preparedness is much appreciated! What’s your itinerary for Opole? I live in Warsaw now but if you need some recommendations in Opole let me know since that’s where I’m from:) have a great trip and stay safe because these days it’s very icy outdoors

  3. Ok like who gives a shit? Why do people feel the urge of announcing their arrival like they were some kind of celebrity? Main character syndrome

  4. Please prepare yourself for freezing weekend. This weekend it might be -15*C, therefore avoid long exposures outside. Have fun in Poland! 🙂

  5. Ooof, bad timing with the weather man. Everything looks grey outside 🙁
Hope it clears during your say here!

You didn’t pick a good time for that… Intercity + PLK have majorly failed in creating a reliable timetable for 2025/2026 and in winter preparation, so great part of the trains are delayed or cancelled. Hope you’ll have enough luck not to use those delayed ones and hope you’ll enjoy Poland.

On the northern end of Wroclaw. Near “Wysoka” we have what you could call – small Korea town. There is a lots of Korean food run by your folks. Strongly recommend

When you’re in Wrocław, you must visit Galbi! It’s a Korean restaurant which I miss dearly (I live on the other side of Poland now:’)

  9. Oh, Wrocław, city of dwarfs. Have a good time! Btw, There is a small Korean community in the city. Shops, restaurants, companies.
