  1. When members of the murderous Unit 29155 of the Russian secret service GRU operated across Europe, their diplomatic cover made their work easier. After it was revealed that members of Unit 29155 were behind the explosions in Vrbětice, the Czech Republic expelled most Russian diplomats, but with the open borders of the Schengen area, Russians with diplomatic passports were still able to enter the Czech Republic from other EU countries without any problems.

Therefore, since the end of January, Petr Fiala´s (former) government, in cooperation with the National Center Against Organized Crime and the secret services, has been preparing measures to restrict the entry of Russian diplomats into the Czech Republic: They could only enter the country if the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had expressly authorized their entry after a thorough check by the secret services.

However, according to an investigation by Seznam Zprávy, this is no longer the case. Foreign Minister Petr Macinka (Motorists) ordered the measure to be revoked at the last minute. Seznam Zprávy verified this with three sources from the security community who are familiar with the matter.

As the editorial staff found out, only the minimum protection option contained in the sanctions package adopted last year at the EU level “survived” Macinka’s intervention. Russian diplomats who are accredited in another EU country will now only need to send an email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the day before to enter the Czech Republic.

According to the editorial team’s sources, Minister Macinka also torpedoed the creation of a system that would link individual security institutions and allow them to share information about possible threats from Russian spies under diplomatic cover.

Seznam Zprávy tried to find out from Macinka and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs why Czechia will not introduce strict measures for Russian diplomats after all. The Minister of Foreign Affairs did not respond to Seznam Zprávy’s questions before the text was published.

  3. Since the so called Heritage Foundation was mentioned in another article posted here today, it’s worth to mention that this guy, his entire party, and the billionaire financing it are all buddies of the heritage nazis that are actively trying to harm Europe.

  4. “Yes, we fucked up royally, but we definitely showed the Pražská Kavárna who’s boss!”

I remember when there were elections, the Czechs assured that he was for Ukraine and would not be friends with russia. It feels like russian propaganda brainwashed them and they didn’t notice it. Now, like Hungary, it will slide into usurpation of power. The Czechs were fooled, they will soon feel it.

This is what happends when you allow elderly delusional pro soviet people the right to vote even tho it will be us the young who will have to live with the consequences but also pay for their retirement bills.

Democracy in czechia works. But only for russian collaborators.

  7. Only a few percent of population voted for this idiot….apparently, that´s enough to screw up everything

  8. That makes sense, why would you check your bosses’ goons? We all know they bring orders and cash to the despot

  9. I like democracy, but people voting for people who want to dismantle it and fascists need to go to a course on critical thinking and their rights to vote be taken away for a time… People kept saying BabiÅ¡ isnt dangerous. Right, so he made a coalition with these guys, not dangerous at all.

  10. But they said Babis is not a russian puppet just a populist, so it would not be another russian puppet enabling other russian puppets. When will people ever learn from the same patterns over and over.

Give them an inch and they will take a mile. Sounds like he is another Russian asset.

  12. The EU really needs to start an initiative that fights disinformation from the US and Russia. The EU also needs to start investigations on any politician connected to Russian or US money.

These two things are by far the greatest threats for Europe right now.
