Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has sent messages of condolence to his brother hierarchs, Metropolitan Panteleimon of Veria, Naoussa and Kampania, Metropolitan Georgios of Kitros, and Metropolitan Philotheos of Thessaloniki, upon learning of the tragic road accident in Romania that claimed the lives of seven young men, supporters of the football club PAOK, and left three others injured.

In his messages, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew expressed his profound sorrow over the sudden and unjust loss of so many young lives, offering prayers for the repose of the souls of the deceased and for strength and consolation for their families and loved ones, as well as for the swift recovery of those who were injured.

Likewise, a Patriarchal message of condolence was sent to Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Trikki, Gardiki and Pyli, following the deadly fire at a factory in Trikala, which resulted in the deaths of five women workers. The Ecumenical Patriarch conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims and prayed that God grant them comfort and support in their time of mourning.
