  1. I guess it’s time I restart the boycott of their products…makes no bloody difference, but I sleep better at night

  2. Big corporation calculate which one bring in more profit. If keeping quiet bring profit even after subtracting any penalties, then they’ll keep it quiet (until cover is blown)

This remind me of infamous exploding Pinto made by Ford where the beancounter execs determined it is cheaper to handle litigation as it happen rather than implement fix defect that will prevent the car to explode if rear ended.

  3. They hide there logo on most there products now & sometimes avoid using at all & just using plain txt.

    From the article:

    >Other baby food manufacturers such as the French company Danone and the Swiss food manufacturer Hochdorf also recalled certain products because they had worked with the same supplier. However, some of the recalls only took place two to three weeks later. The reasons for this are unclear.

    >The French newspaper Le Monde contradicts Nestlé’s account. The timetable given by the company is not correct, the newspaper claimed on Friday.

    >According to a “high-ranking source”, the oil enriched with arachidonic acid was already known to Nestlé on December 10 as the source of the contamination, which was immediately reported to the authorities.

Obviously they thought it would be cheaper to do nothing than pay for the lawsuits.

  6. If i had a nickel for every time Nestle poisoned infants I’d have 2 nickels….its not a lot but its weird that we only know its happened twice

  7. Reminds me of that melamine incident in China that happened a while ago, except this time no CEOs will get executed

Nestle is just one of those companies that’s rotten from the inside out. It’s rare for a company to be consistently called evil by people of different political and cultural backgrounds.

This is the same company that convinced young mothers in some countries of Africa that formulated milk is safer for babies. It isn’t. The same company that successfully lobbied against declaring water a human right. The same company that exports water from 3rd world countries just to resell it back to the same people. And so on.

    They’re almost cartoonishly evil.

If they’re not doing evil at every opportunity, are they really even a multinational corporation?
