A stand-up workshop

Over the course of four weeks, learn to develop your storytelling, public speaking and confidence with an “Intro to Stand-Up” course organised by Dan Belkin. The workshop will end with an optional showcase for friends and family.

Where: Café-Théâtre Rocas, Luxembourg City
Cost: From €35.99 (you can either try the first class only, or sign up for the entire course.)

A love reading

Spending Valentine’s Day without a date this year and in need of a little bit of hope for the future? Mark the date in a novel way by learning how to do a love spread with an oracle card game. Rather than tell you the future by looking into a crystal ball, the organiser offers to help you clarify what it is you actually want and need from love.

When: Friday 13 February, 18:30
Where: Subtile, Luxembourg City
Cost: €50 (including drinks and small appetisers)

Asterix and Obelix expo

This exhibition invites visitors into the world of Astérix and Obélix, exploring one of the most iconic series in Franco-Belgian comics. Through original materials and thematic displays, it traces the creation of the saga and sheds light on the historical and cultural references behind their adventures. The exhibition also highlights the many screen adaptations, from animated films to live-action films, showing how these characters conquered cinema and television. The event is in French, but you can still marvel at the art!

Fire and wine

We have those in Luxembourg too, but sometimes it’s nice to see how our neighbours are celebrating. Go check out the Grand Feu Lafosse, a massive bonfire accompanied by a live DJ, mulled wine and food. The organisers promise a surprise for children who show up in a costume.

When: Saturday 3 February, 19:00
Where: Lafosse, Manhay, Belgium

Attic Life Expo

This collective exhibition invites visitors into a suspended moment in time, where overlooked objects from the past are transformed into new works of art. Drawing inspiration from the forgotten worlds of our attics, it looks at discarded belongings as quiet witnesses to our consumer habits, desires and excesses. Through reimagined relics, the exhibition encourages reflection on memory, emotional attachment and the value of reuse in a society struggling to let go of the superfluous.

When: From 26 January to 3 April, 9:00-17:00 (9:30-12:30 on Saturdays)
Where: Chaussée de l’ourthe, Marche-en-Famenne, Belgium
