Russian forces struck a maternity hospital in the city of Zaporizhzhia on Sunday noon, Feb. 1, leaving at least six people injured.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Regional Military Administration (OVA), reported the attack on Telegram.

“Russians struck a maternity hospital in Zaporizhzhia. The number of casualties has already increased to six people. All are receiving the necessary assistance,” Fedorov wrote.
He clarified that two of the injured were women undergoing medical examinations at the time of the strike.
Fedorov also released photos showing damage inside the hospital, including destroyed offices, shattered windows, and smoke filling the premises.
According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (DSNS), the maternity hospital was hit by Russian strike drones.
“A fire broke out on the second floor in the reception area of the gynecological ward. Rescuers extinguished the fire. Search and rescue operations are complete,” the DSNS said.
In a report at 1:55 p.m., Fedorov added that Russian troops continue what he described as “Shahed terror” against Zaporizhzhia.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s General Staff reported that the Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes on Russian military targets early Sunday.
“As part of measures to reduce the offensive capabilities of the Russian aggressor, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a number of enemy military facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and on the territory of Russia,” the statement said.
Near the occupied settlement of Rozivka (Zaporizhzhia region) Ukrainian forces hit a repair base belonging to a Russian engineer-sapper regiment unit.
In the Donetsk region, near Myrnohrad, strikes targeted a drone control point, a company command and observation post, and a concentration of Russian troops.
Additionally, on Saturday, Ukrainian units struck a drone control point near the settlement of Nekislitsa in Russia’s Kursk region, as well as a concentration of Russian personnel near Troebortnoye in the Bryansk region.
“The losses of the occupiers and the extent of the damage are being clarified,” the General Staff said.
