Italy’s FiberCop to lay off up to 1,800 workers – unions
FiberCop, the last-mile fibre and copper grid company set up by Telecom Italia (TIM) in 2020 and now owned by a consortium led by KKR, has reached an agreement with trade unions to lay off a maximum of around 1,800 workers. Under the latest collective dismissal deal reached with Slc Cgil, Fistel Cisl and Uilcom Uil) the company agreed that there would be no forced lay-offs if the number of voluntary redundancies reach around 800.
