Aberdeen striker Peter Ambrose has sealed a loan move to Hungary for the remainder of the season.
The 23-year-old, who became one of former manager Jimmy Thelin’s first signings in summer 2024, has joined Diosgyori VTK subject to international clearance.
Ambrose previously featured for Ujpest in Hungary before heading to the Granite City where he has since scored twice in 23 outings for the club.
His standout moment came in a 1-0 victory over Dundee United at Pittodrie during Thelin’s first season in charge.
He has since struggled to break into the team however, with Ambrose having failed to feature in a single fixture this season.
The Dons are now hoping his return to Hungary will provide more regular game time, with “opportunities in the first team currently limited.”
