The U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card recently unveiled an updated welcome bonus, now offering 50% more than its typical $500 cash back offer. Now, new applicants can earn $750 in cash back after spending $6,000 or more on eligible purchases within 180 days from account opening.
Outside of this elevated bonus, the card is aptly named, earning 3% cash back on several helpful categories related to both business and everyday purchases. CNBC Select takes a closer look at this business card’s offerings and comparable no-annual-fee business cards so you can make the right decision for your wallet.

Should you apply for this card?
If you’re looking for a straightforward no-annual-fee business card that earns elevated cash back on common purchases, the U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa Business could fit the bill. You earn 3% cash back at gas and EV charging stations (transactions of $200 or less), office supply stores, cell phone service providers and restaurants.
While the card doesn’t come with a lot of additional perks, it’s a good option for growing businesses looking to delay interest on purchases or pay off debt, as it offers a low intro APR on both purchases and balance transfers. And if your business uses FreshBooks or QuickBooks, you can also get a $100 software subscription credit every 12 months, following 11 consecutive months of eligible software service purchases.
If you’re searching for a card management platform, the U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa Business comes with U.S. Bank Spend Management, which offers integrated accounting, the ability to set spend limits and choose spending categories, custom reporting and dashboards and more.
Although the U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa Business earns cash back, you’re not limited to redeeming it for statement credits.
You can also deposit your cash back into a qualifying U.S. Bank account, a U.S. Bank Rewards Card or instantly redeem with Real-Time Rewards. The card also lets you link your U.S. Bank card to Amazon and PayPal and use your rewards to pay for purchases.
The Triple Cash Rewards Business doesn’t earn transferable travel rewards, but it does earn solid cash back rates on several business categories. It also doesn’t cap the amount of points you can earn, which other cards may. The cash back you earn doesn’t expire as long as your account remains active (meaning reward, purchase or balance activity at least every 12 months).
Additional no-annual-fee business cards to consider
Here are two additional cash back business credit cards that don’t charge an annual fee and earn comparable bonuses. The right option for you may come down to whether you prefer bonus categories or flat-rate cash back, or your average spending within categories.
Ink Business Cash® Credit Card
The Ink Business Cash® Credit Card (see rates and fees) is another competitive no-annual-fee business card. With a similar welcome bonus of $750 bonus cash back after spending $6,000 on purchases in the first three months, the card earns up to 2% more rewards, but with a cap.
You can earn 5% cash back at office supply stores and on internet, cable and phone services each account anniversary year, but only on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases (then 1%). You’ll also earn 2% cash back at gas stations and restaurants each account anniversary year with the same $25,000 cap (then 1%).
The Triple Cash Rewards Business earns a lower cash back percentage, but it doesn’t have a yearly rewards cap. This is where math is your friend; depending on how much you spend in these business categories, either card could make sense.
The Ink Business Cash® Credit Card is a no-annual-fee cash-back business card that’s especially rewarding at office supply stores and gas stations.

For business owners who prefer to earn rewards at a flat rate (forgoing bonus categories), consider the Signify Business Cash℠ Card by Wells Fargo. You’ll earn an unlimited 2% cash rewards on purchases for your business, with no limit.
One trade-off is that the welcome offer is slightly lower compared to the Triple Cash Rewards Business, offering $500 in cash rewards after spending $5,000 on purchases for your business in the first three months. Additional employee cards can be ordered at no extra cost, and you can set spending limits, monitor cards and more either online or via the Wells Fargo app.
For many people, a flat-rate card can make spending much easier, rather than juggling multiple cards or mentally flipping through categories
