Today, the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to North Macedonia, Paolo Palminteri, paid a protocol visit to the Municipality of Gostivar, where he was welcomed by the mayor, Valbon Limani. During the meeting, Ambassador Palminteri reiterated Italy’s continued support for North Macedonia and stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with the Municipality of Gostivar. He also expressed interest in promoting the teaching and introduction of the Italian language in local schools as a bridge of connection and cooperation between the two countries.

   
The ambassador also appreciated the contribution of the municipality’s citizens living in Italy, highlighting their role in the development of Italian society in the fields of economy, sports and culture.

   
Mayor Limani expressed gratitude for the visit and the Italian state’s continued support, briefing the ambassador on the most recent developments in the municipality, the functioning of the administration since the local elections, and the current challenges facing the local government.

   
The meeting was valued as an important step toward deepening interinstitutional cooperation and strengthening friendly relations between the two countries.
