Not only because of the excitement of the United States taking on Canada, but also because of the introduction of the Professional Women’s Hockey League, players from all around the globe are showing their talents nightly.
Czechia is looking to grab the victory after a tough back-to-back last week. After a disappointing effort in a 5-1 loss to the United States on Thursday, the Czechs had a tough game against Switzerland on Friday. The team blew a 3-1 lead, losing in a shootout. Czechia was able to salvage a point, but need to some help to have a favorable matchup in the quarterfinals.
Finland’s Olympic journey has not quite gone to plan. A massive Norovirus outbreak forced the team to postpone its opening game against Canada. Even with a weathered roster, they were forced to face the dominant U.S. on Saturday. Things did not go well. Suomi never seemed to be in the game and ended up falling 5-0.
