Harrison, coming off winning the 2026 Australian Open men’s doubles title, earned his first Davis Cup win in his debut appearance, while Krajicek improves his Davis Cup doubles record to 9-2, including an undefeated 9-0 mark in live matches.

Emilio Nava logged a 6-2, 6-3 win over Matyas Fuele in the dead singles match to close out the weekend’s play.

“I didn’t expect this result,” Bryan said of the sweep. “This match could have gone either way. You saw how close the matches were. Obviously having Tommy join the team was a big boost. He was favored in that match against Piros, but he did a great job against Piros who really played great tennis.

“I think the key match to this whole weekend was the Quinn-Marozsan match. I don’t think we were favored in that match, but Ethan somehow pulled off an upset. He believed he could win, but that’s a really tough opponent, and I would have been very happy if the U.S. and Hungary were 1-1 after Day 1.”
