  1. Starlink’s value isn’t just speed, it’s mobility and low detectability. Losing that hurts more than people realize.

  2. They dont need to find something, the Belarussian Puppet invented something better already…/i

How many lives could have been saved if Musk had done this earlier? Instead he chose to cosplay as fascist cheerleader and take part in space based dick swinging contests with other self serving billionaires.

  4. How about going home?

That’s a pretty good alternative, there’s landlines there I bet.

so musk has been enabling the murderous russian military all along. never forget that the only allegiance billionaires have is to money.

  6. Maybe it’s a bad idea that one billionaire can decide if and when both sides of a conflict get to use the internet.

They’ve done this with Ukraine too

  7. Why did this take so long?
I think this war would be over if everyone was on the same page.

I am shocked that they have been using Starlink to kill Ukrainians and we haven’t turned it off until now.

  9. This should have been done years ago.

Every first world nation has just been burning money and Ukraine has been burning its own people all because of Elon Musk.

All that money the US has spent on Ukraine? Thank Elon Musk.

Im surprised they had access to begin with..that seems kind of suspect to let them.

  11. how the heck is this news now ? I would have assumed that this was the case since the beginning of the invasion ?

  12. smell-my-elbow on

I am sure that money or help with maga elections is all musk is looking for to turn it back on.

  13. Don’t worry, they have pigeons with ~~implanted brain chips~~ *solar powered plastic hats* now, service will resume shortly

The real headline should be: Elon Musk, US citizen, allowed Russia to use his Starlink system to wage war on Ukraine for years without US government oversight or approval until last week when he suddenly decided to block Russian access. This shows that if you are a US billionaire, you, too, can determine foreign policy on behalf of the US without oversight or approval of the US”.

Alternative ? Like another company that has been shooting rockets into space with internet satellites on them?

  16. Based on the donkeys and horses your soldiers still ride into battle, it seems two tin cans and a piece of string represent the full extent of your technological and industrial capability.

  17. Should have let them use it, but then make sure it will always find it’s destination somewhere over Russia..

    Would be great!

  18. Now watch china realise it needs this capability for future drone conflict, and start to launch its own constellations.

Along with some suspiciously larger (or smaller) ones

  19. Gotta pay a subscription fee to Elon Musk if you want to wage a modern war. Who says billionaires have too much power?
