A wanted person has been extradited from Germany to Kosovo and a foreign citizen has been arrested.

Kosovo Police announces that it has successfully carried out an international extradition and another arrest within the country, as part of the fight against international crime.

As the police announce, “in full coordination with German authorities, a Kosovar citizen wanted by an international arrest warrant has been extradited from Germany to Kosovo.”

The extradited person was suspected of serious criminal offenses and evasion of justice, police announced.

The extradition was carried out thanks to close inter-institutional cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and Germany.

Upon arrival in Kosovo, the suspect was handed over to the relevant police units for further legal procedures, the announcement states.

Also, during the same day, Kosovo Police announced that it had arrested another internationally wanted foreign citizen in the country’s territory.

The arrest was carried out based on an international arrest warrant issued by several European Union countries, the KP emphasizes.

According to police, the suspect is suspected of involvement in organized crime activities.

By decision of the competent prosecutor, the suspect was ordered to be detained for 48 hours, the KP confirmed.
