North Macedonia ranks 84th in the Corruption Perceptions Index 2025 of “Transparency International”, with a score of 40 points, the same as last year.
In the organization’s annual report that measures the perception of corruption in 182 countries around the world, Macedonia has not progressed in the fight against corruption, because it has the same number of points, but due to the decline of several countries in the index that were ahead of it, it shares 84th place with six other countries. In the 2024 report, it was 88th.
The best result in the last decade was in the Index published in 2023, when, with 42 points, Macedonia was 76th on the list.
Western European countries make up nine of the top ten countries globally in the Corruption Perceptions Index. /Telegraph/
