    I find it interesting how our words for the most basic things almost never change. Kinda like how our words for Mama and Papa are the same basically everywhere (even Mandarin has Mama). All major language groups share pretty much the same name for winter

    Any particular reason ukrainian is the same as all the other Cyrillic languages but is written with a Y?

    I’m going to add Cornish in here too (far south west tip of/past England) – it’s Gwav. Close links to Welsh and Breton linguistically.
