Koci raises suspicions of mistreatment of Lozhani in Serbia, says he himself feels endangered

Lawyer Arianit Koci has announced that he is in Belgrade, in the capacity of legal defense attorney for Mit’hat Lozhani, who has been arrested by Serbian police on charges of war crimes and that he himself feels in danger.
“I am in Belgrade, for the release of Mit’hat Llozhani. I have information that I am also in danger,” Koci wrote on Facebook.
He said he has information that Lozhani is not well.
Koci also said earlier on Wednesday that he had received information about inappropriate physical treatment, continuous interrogation and pressure exerted on Lozhani inside the detention center.
He stressed that these claims must be urgently verified through an independent medical examination and official documentation of any possible injuries.
Koci also requested clarifications regarding the manner and conditions of interrogation, as well as concrete measures to guarantee the physical and psychological safety of the arrested person, including his separation from other prisoners if there is a security risk.
