  1. This is a major reason why I think the effort to kick everyone off the voter rolls who can’t provide documentary proof of citizenship might not have the effect its backers are hoping for.

  2. Ha, we all know what voting stations ICE will be posted outside checking passports, it’s not rural West Virginia

  3. That explains why conservatives are so xenophobic. They don’t understand what it’s like to live in another country.

  4. This is essentially map of life opportunities. Who has opportunities in life and who doesn’t.

That’s responsible for a lot of ignorance. Not sure how people can live their lives like this

Everyone should have a passport. Worth the fee to drop it on a clerk at the Texas DPS. She was smirking that I’d have to get more documentation and come back. No, I didn’t!

  7. Apparently a lot of commenters on this post think the ideological makeup of the populace follows the same winner takes all principle as the electoral college. Lots of wealthy Republicans in blue states will have passports and a whole lot of poorer Democrats in red states won’t.

  8. I just can’t afford one let alone a trip that I could go out of the country for. 🤷‍♂️

  9. Good thing I’ve never been required by law when I go to the DMV to show a stupid passport.

It would be fricken hilarious if Republicans passed the SAVE act and it costs them big time because most poor Republicans dont have a passport

  11. So who’s to stop the state department from simply canceling the passports of registered democrats?

  12. Correlation between lower passport ownership and believing that “America is the greatest country on earth”

By eyeball, it appears that ~40% of Americans have a valid passport. Even if the 60% had the money and necessary paperwork to obtain a passport, could the State Department process 150,000,000 passport applications by November? Highly doubtful.

  14. International travel = intelligence and economic success. It’s no wonder the red states are lacking. ‘Murica.

  15. I was among the few in Alabama. And I have to say, I’m not surprised at the lack of passports there.
